Biography
Hadas Zucker is an Israeli-born, Shanghai-based radical thinker, specializing in Art, Creative Direction, and Storytelling. She often collaborates with Shanghai’s art, music and film communities. Influenced by both pop culture and critical theory, Hadas explores the effect of an increasingly interconnected global marketplace on the fashion industry. Her work translates global trends and social evolution into forward-thinking creative visions. She develops tailor-made concepts mixing art, fashion and branding, to create both on-line and off-line experiences, from product lines to digital campaigns and a variety of creative concepts. She also lectures at the Condé Nast Center of Fashion and Design.

Architecture Questions, Fashion AnswersA collaboration between an award-winning architect and a fashion designer commissioned by the Israel Design Museum for its annual Fashion Week. The collaboration features content curated by the two; the architect Dan Handel questions and the fashion designer answers through an experimental use of visual images in the form of collage. The collaboration was presented online and at the Museum Design Conference.
Storyteller
BlaséBlasé is a project about people, jackets, plastic bags and cigarettes. Zucker invited dozens of creatives to create a visual, anthropological diary that reflects the people of Shanghai in the spirit of this iconic book.
According to Zucker, the meaning of Blasé is unimpressed or disappointed because you have seen something too often… “which is almost an existential state, typical of the time we live in. There is so much around us: content, images, brands, products, experiences, information – it overloads us and is turning us numb,” she sadly reflects. This certainly happens in Shanghai, and as many people become jaded she decided to show her subjects in this pensive yet somehow removed state:

BGOAs Creative Director behind the premium menswear brand BGO, Zucker re-branded, re-positioned and lead BGO to its debut fashion show at Shanghai Fashion Week. The fashion show captured the attention of the local and international media, including Jing Daily, Details, and Fucking Young. She introduced a capsule collection of custom-made pollution masks, appropriate for the local environment.
