This week we got a bit more artsy, and although it’s not necessarily fashion, we at CFB love ALL kinds of creativity!
And there was no shortage of it at Art in the City, which hosted this event at K11 and will continue to hold events and tours across the city to celebrate both local and international artists alike.
The highlight for us was DEFINITELY Li Hongbo, who also currently has an exhibition at MD Gallery in Shanghai. He created sculptures from paper that look SO MUCH like stone you wouldn’t know THAT THEY MOVEEEE like accordions and can morph into hauntingly beautiful forms! This description does it no justice, you just have to watch the video (and see it in person if you ever have the chance!!)

So CFB founder Timothy Parent, aka m0w, made a LONG trek (a 5 mile, 11000 step walk in the hot hot sun) to check out the festivities… he could’ve just gotten a cab but DRONE FOOTAGE you guyz!
There were two things that kept him going: the promise of spicy street snacks from FLY BY JING and a concert by De La Soul (that song “Me Myself and I” that is sooo 90s!), but there was so much more there than expected!

Fashion Now is an alternative fashion week that’s held every season in Beijing. They generally feature just six designers, so it is highly-curated and the designers are all top-notch.
CFB founder Timothy Parent recently collaborated with creative director Hadas Zucker to create an image that will boggle your brain.

chinafashionbloggers.com has been online for 5 years, posted 5000 posts, and boasts an archive of over 25,000 photos! To celebrate, we went offline and took over Daliah in Shanghai to install a laser gateway and create a virtual wardrobe for our guests! The installation was conceived curator Eva Yi and created by laser artist David Keohane.
