ABOUT > Triple-Major Concept Store
Triple-Major is involved in the fashion industry across a wide-spread field with its primary concept being "reinventing popular culture".
As a retailer, a fashion label and a creative studio, we aim to challenge the creative limits of fashion and to propose new perspectives on design. When playing the role of retailer, Triple-Major concept stores, located in Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu, introduces independent and progressive designers to cities where they are rarely represented. Triple-Major was among the first to bring international labels like Anntian, Daniel Palillo, Bless, Henrik Vibskov and many others to China.
As a clothing label, Triple-Major explores fashion’s endless possibilities by striding over mainstream rules. Our products are designed with unexpected twists to ordinary clothes, and are collectively shown during Paris Fashion Week each season. Moreover, we choose to break the tradition of fashion’s seasonality and present new products regularly throughout the year. Triple-Major designs are available internationally at multi-branded concept stores like Wut Berlin in Tokyo, WOK in Milan and many others around the world, as well as our own webstore.
As a creative studio, Triple-Major organizes and curates events or exhibitions to bridge the gaps between the identities of designers, galleries, retailers and customers. In 2009, we curated and organized “Project White T-Shirt”, inviting 31 progressive designers to recreate the white t-shirt, a timeless classic. Project White T-shirt was exhibited in galleries and shops worldwide to raise funds for Designers Against AIDs. Later on, designer label ffiXXed, fashion blogger Facehunter and artist Woog were among many with whom we had collaborations with for our in-house exhibitions. We also curate regular “Nomad Store” projects, bringing labels represented by us with our own designs to different cities around the world, utilizing each city’s local resources and absorbing their characteristics like nomads. These sporadic, short-termed, traveling stores had so-far left their footprints in Hong Kong, Shanghai ‚ Los Angeles, London and Milan.
“Beneath the thread of a garment lies a concept that breathes life and character into the piece of clothing. We believe that the value of fashion transcends its physical form. True style comes from the appearances of individuality, creativity and exploration.”— Triple-Major

Triple-Major has just introduced a new outpost in Chengdu! In the city where it is renowned as the home of the giant pandas, we have decided to name our new store as the “Centre for Panda Studies”.
Designing retail spaces in unconventional formats has become Triple-Major’s signature motif. Since the establishment of our Chinese medicine dispensary concept store in Beijing, we have introduced the Shanghai store as a multidisciplinary hub. Now our Chengdu store has imagined itself as a research facility and fantasyland for giant pandas. The new retail space is divided into different “activity zones”: ranging from the “Playground”, to the “Feeding Area”, and to the “Study Room”. Each zone is designed to display and exhibit labels with their own distinct characteristics and aesthetics.
A wide selection of labels, including Christophe Lemaire, Anntian, Henrik Vibskov, BLESS, and Triple-Major’s in-house designs, are available at the Chengdu Store. “ Center for Panda Studies” will also launch its own unique line of products later on.
