Nothing screams American independence to me like navy sailor stripes and denim cut-offs (but also, I just really wanted to avoid sporting the clichéd red-white-and-blue).
I know this is yet another post going up one or two months late, but I couldn’t NOT post photos from my beautiful weekend on a farm a.k.a. the Root Cellar in Sonoma. Our friend who was kind enough to provide us with accommodations had 50 chickens (who we collected eggs from in the morning to make a frittata), an entire garden of produce (from kale to heirloom tomatoes to scallions), as well as a stunning garden of roses and giant sunflowers. Truly the most picturesque and charming place ever, with a perfect view of the fireworks from Sonoma Plaza.
