Yesterday I attended Xisu’s show at Shanghai Fashion Week. At the helm is creative director Li Xiamong, who remains firmly rooted in China’s ancient philosophy on harmonious living when designing each season. While interviewing her for my SFW report for trend forecasting agency Stylesight, she told me,  ‘Simplicity invites women to slow down and enjoy the little delights found in Mother Nature.”

Xisu infuses modern wearability with a hint of oriental, using earthy tones like cinnabar, charcoal and ivory- and flowing lines that accentuate a woman’s natural curves.

Xisu sticks to natural fabrics like cotton, silk, linen and bamboo. Their relaxed separates – with soft, innovative layers and loose fits  - channel Zen-like simplicity, while also subtly standing out with interesting cuts and construction.
