I WANT WHAT YOU HAVE

It’s been around 2 years now and I’m STILL wearing this awesome Monki lightweight super long jacket. It’s kind of like a crepe fabric so it’s super lightweight and perfect for the heat that’s creeping up on us in Shanghai. It’s hovering around the mid to late 20s now in Shanghai but we’ve just been hit with a serious case of PLUM RAIN season (I know, I’d never heard of it neither until Shanghai) and the thunder kept me up all night last night ugh. BUT I’m heading to Hong Kong tomorrow where it is complainingly much hotter than Shanghai (or so I’ve heard). Not quite sure how I’m going to handle this since me and the heat don’t go well together. I feel like I’ve been talking about this a lot lately but it’s seriously true. Remember when I went to Koh Samui a couple of years ago? Apart from the times we HAD to go out (for a friend’s wedding), we literally stayed indoors almost the WHOLE time in our air conditioned room cos I just couldn’t deal with the heat. I remember I even got a nose bleed cos it was THAT hot that ONE time we decided to go out. W. T. actual F. right?

Back to this Monki jacket. Wearing it gives me a couple of feels: 1. “Wow this is so lightweight and perfect for layering!,” 2. “I feel so cool wearing a long jacket!!!” and 3. “I bet I could sell a couple of Rolies and Diamond necklaces outta this bad boy!” ∗˚೫˳(●ᴖ͙̏ᴗॢᴖ͙̋●)˳೫˚∗
